New School Supplies for the New Year

Even with short notice and a quick turn around the Rotary Club of Carpentersville-Morning and it's supporters were able to gather a a good amount of new school supplies to donate to local children through the Boys & Girls Club of Dundee Township! One of the best things the Boys & Girls Club offers to the youth in the community is tutoring and designating a time for them to do their homework before any club activities. Anyone can remember being young in school and thinking... homework is the last thing I want to do, especially when being around all my friends. That is when we stared to think of any excuse we could not to do it like.. I don't have any paper!.. I left my supplies in my locker!.. I traded it for a cheeseburger! Whatever it was it all boiled down to not having the supplies you needed to do your work!

Thanks to our great donation of new school supplies the Boys & Girls Club of Dundee Township can take on any excuse a child will try to give to them! No paper? Here take a stack!.. Left the scissors and glue in your locker? Bam!... Here you go! No excuses! Now lets work! In some cases a child's personal supplies is very limited with an inability to purchase anything new. Here is where the donation helps those who need it the most! In the end the entire donation will help make a difference, big or little, to children in the Carpentersville community which is what our club is all about.
