Firefighters Coats for Kids Takes Off with Promise
Operation Warm's latest collaboration is a program with the International Association of Firefighters, it is branded especially for the hometown heroes who are fundraising in their communities to break the cycle of poverty. Firefighters work on the front lines and are witnesses to levels of poverty that many can't understand. The necessity of a warm coat and the lack thereof in so many impoverished families couldn't be more apparent to our new distribution partners, who've shared countless stories about providing shelter for struggling children at the firehouse.
Kids Helping Kids
Meet Nikolas Toocheck. Nikolas looks like the average 4th grader but what he has already accomplished and plans to accomplish is far from ordinary. Nikolas's dream is to raise money and awareness for Operation Warm by running a marathon on each of the seven continents. And, at 9 years old, he has already completed two of these marathons.
