The Children have their Jackets!

Another successfully year was had handing out warm winter coats to children in need. Just in time for the winter season. All the hard work put into collecting funds to purchase the coats for Operation Warm has paid off. As with anything else with the Carpentersville Rotary Club does we strive to progress in what we do and this was definitely a step up from last year’s Operation Warm program.

The children came in at each of the three locations not knowing what to expect until they were surprised with the fact that they were receiving a new winter coat. There was a quick change in attitude from confusion to excitement as each kid was handed their coat. There was a definite sense of overwhelming joy in the room!

Thank you to everyone involved for making this such a great program for the children in the community.

Special thanks to Rotarians Donna Zoellick and Tina Curtis for all of there help with all the collections and putting this event together for a second consecutive year. Thanks again to all the Rotarians who helped collect the money, everyone who made donations, and all the hard work the staff of the Dundee Township Boy's and Girl's Club has done and continues to do everyday.
